More than any other time in history, the research and discovery of our ancestors has never been as accessible as it is today.  Within minutes, the internet provides opportunities and depth that took years to accomplish in the past.  However, the surety of genealogy research depends greatly on the accuracy of the information used to initiate the research.  For example;

There are literally thousands of John Smith’s, however; the list narrows significantly when you search for John Robert Smith born on May 12, 1927 in Bristol Pennsylvania.

Middle names can be as critical as birth dates and places of birth.  Certainly, date of death and location help to confirm an ancestor’s lineage; marriage dates and location is another vital tool used to solve the puzzle.

The point being--the more information, the better.  Always remember that, as genealogists, we are striving to provide and preserve our ancestral history.  Not only are these facts desirable for record purposes, but can become vital in locating and confirming other family members that may be related.

I encourage you to contact me with any discrepancies you may come across.  Certainly, if you have additional information or updates to the information displayed, that would be greatly appreciated.  Additionally, any photos you would be willing to share would help to provide a personnel touch to any ancestor’s profile.
